Susan Rice (Nov. 17, 1964 – )
The US National Security Advisor since July 1, 2013. Rice was unanimously confirmed as UN ambassador by the US Senate on January 22, 2009, the second youngest person and the first African-American woman to represent the US at the UN. Rice served on the staff of the National Security Council, and as Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs during President Bill Clinton’s second term.
